MIL-RUN FARM

Welcome to the Mil-Run Farm website.  Lot's of changes have occured in the last few months.  I'm proud to announce that I am now Tri-tronic collar dealer, a distrbutor for Owen dog boxes and Native Performance Dog Food.  Check out these new pages for links.

While I enjoy the fall hunting season, I have found that being a member of the National Shoot to Retrieve Association (NSTRA), has extended the fun of working with the dogs and honing their bird finding skills.  At our MIL-RUN Farm trial grounds, we host several NSTRA trials a year.  In addition to competing in NSTRA trials, I also compete in:  Walking Shooting Dog, Cover Dog, Amateur Horseback, and National Bird Hunters Association (NBHA).

I believe that your best chance to get an excellent bird dog is to start with an outstanding pedigree.  My line of English Setters come from several well known champion dogs:  Stillmeadow Jim, Ghost Train, Jet Train, Performer, Havelock Blacksmith, Chip's Super Chunk, Stokely's Diablo Jake, Fair Play, and Destinare.  I have dogs whom have earned their championship status with NSTRA trials-some several times.  In addition to NSTRA trials, I've also brought home placements in Walking Shooting Dog, Cover Dog, Amateur Horseback, and NBHA.

The English Setters and German Shorthair Pointers that I train and sell have the traits which make great foot hunting and field trial dogs.  Both breeds have wonderful dispositions, style, a lot of hunt, and are especially good family dogs.

The new kennel facility was finished in the fall of 2006.  I have a 24-run kennel operation and offer gun dog training and kenneling services.
